Mama Roo Chair Review

I brought this chair out of curiosity, awe, and pure DESPERATION!  My son was riddled with colic in his early weeks, and I would have sold body parts to keep him quiet for more than 10 minute.  Well after almost a year of use, I feel I can give it a fair review.

The Good:  It's very modern and looks really awesome.  There are multiple settings that could benefit different babies.  Initially, I thought it was a hit, however like anything else with my son, he still cried bloody murder.  Although, a month or so later, he fell in love with the contraption (we call it the cadilac).  We would put him in this after being bathed and fed and he would go to sleep on the car mode.  He loved this for quite a while, about 3-4 months.

The Bad:  Now that he is a bit smarter, and a lot more mobile...let's just say its not safe (see attached video).  He will sit up and practically climb out, reach for objects within reach, arch his back and kick and darn near kick himself out the top.

The Ugly: It is a bit noisy, and now that he can move or sit up, it makes a loud clicking noise, that let me know this is only to be operated by immobile children.  Which for the price, does not give you good use for your money.  Also, the seat is really hard.  There are plush liners you can buy, but there still is very little cousin, and to me don't seem to comfortable, especially when my baby thrashes himself back in a tantrum....I really worry about him banging his head.

I can say, that the price has dropped from $200 for the basic model (without plush liner) to about $175, and if you have a coupon from buy buy baby...well you can save an additional $34 bucks which can make it worth your while to splurge (buy the plush insert from amazon.com and save more money).

Hope this helps! Enjoy the video!
